But on the basis of the food, it’s not hard to see why London has stolen Paris’s crown as the best place to eat in Europe. To be fair, Ferdi has arrived without generating any of its own PR fanfare, the tables of mostly French diners were having a whale of a time, and the French staff could not have been lovelier. Breaded prawns had sweet meat but the appearance of a supermarket canapé macaroni cheese came with a huge ruff of shaved ham encircling the bowl (instead of mingled in the pasta) and Belgian waffles with whipped cream tasted shop-bought. The repertoire is otherwise fairly hotchpotch (Greek salad, nachos, meatballs and mash). The famous ‘Mac Ferdi’ cheeseburger is far and away the best thing to eat. Leave the cold and grey of Paris for a few hours and be kissed by the warmth of the South. Should've known since it's a hyped up place. I know the service in Europe sucks but really I've never experienced something so slow. Dinand par Ferdi is a fast food restaurant in Paris, le-de-France located on Rue du Boccador. We were a table of 3, asked for aperol spritz, martini, and a mojitio, we didn't get our mojitio for OVER an hour. Then we tell the bartender and before we can even say anything she says "I don't do free drinks" no one was asking for a free drink but I mean an hour and a half wait for ONE DRINK? no apology, NOTHING. Might I add, a server myself.Trust me I don't have high standards and I'd never complain about a wait or slower service due to a busy night but this service was just UNACCEPTABLE.Let's start with the waiter mixing up our order, okay it happens, but still being charged for the wrong food? Ehhh that's a no from me. Let me guess, Kim sent you here? Let me just say this is the worst service I've experienced in all of Europe, and I am well traveled. Wow! The mac and cheese was sooooo good, the burger was fine too.I had a glass of Boudreaux that paired perfectly with my meal.Great service, food was out quickly and while I was encouraged to stay for dessert, I was on my way shortly after finishing because I'd seen so many people waiting and really wanted to free up my table for others to enjoy and experience the famed cheese burger :)Very thankful for a tasty new lunch spot! Having seen Rue de Castiglione, its time to have a rest at this restaurant. This worked out perfectly for me.I'd planned on arriving at 1p but actually arrived by 1215p and no one was in line yet so I decided to go around the corner to Chanel. I'd texted Ferdi earlier in the week asking for a lunch booking and they informed me, the only day they have lunch is Saturday from 1-4 and it's on a walk in basis.
